Environmental Services Division
Notice: Special Collections Recycling Service Temporarily Suspended
The Environmental Services Division has temporarily suspended the Special Collections Recycling service on all service days due to a combination of staff shortages and nationwide delays in the delivery of manufacturers parts, which are needed for repairs on the special collections equipment. The suspension is expected to last approximately two weeks. Trash Special Collections will NOT be affected; nor does this affect regular recycling collections.
Recycling Special Collections is utilized on streets that are too narrow for the automated recycling trucks to maneuver, and is provided to individuals who need assistance bringing their recycling cart to the curb for pickup. If you are a special collection customer who lives on an automated route, you may still place your cart curbside if you are able to do so. For those on full streets with special collections, ESD suggests holding your recycling until we are able to get our trucks back on the road. You may also bring recycling to one of the drop off sites; or you may place these items into your trash cart for disposal.
We will update this page with additional information on the suspension as it becomes available.
