THE TRANSIT ADVISORY BOARD (TAB) IS COMPRISED OF DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS WHO REPRESENT DIFFERENT INTEREST GROUPS WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA FE. MEMBERS SERVE AT TWO YEAR TERM INTERVALS WITHOUT LIMITATIONS FOR REAPPOINTMENTS.
A QUICK SUMMARY OF SOME OF THE DUTIES OF TAB CONSIST OF ADVISING ON IMPROVING THE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM AND INCREASING ITS UTILIZATION. THEY SERVE AS A VEHICLE FOR CITIZEN INPUT, THEY FOSTER ENERGY CONSERVING TRANSPORTATION, RECOMMEND PROGRAMS AND FACILITIES FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, PROMOTE TRANSPORTATION SERVICE, RECOMMEND REASONABLE PERFORMANCE STANDARDS, AND PROMOTE FUTURE TRANSIT PROGRAMS.
Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at Santa Fe Trails, located at 2931 Rufina Street, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Meetings begin at 5:00 p.m. and generally end at or before 7:00 p.m.
