Looking for summer fun? Come to SOUTHSIDE SUMMER!  Parties, Events, Movies, Concerts and more are happening May through August. Kick things off with our School's Out Celebration at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center on Friday, May 25 – skate, swim and watch a movie for FREE to celebrate the end of the school year. Other events include a cruise day, block parties, fireworks on the Fourth of July, live performances, movies in the park and more.  Save the dates and bring the whole family to SOUTHSIDE SUMMER!

SCHOOL’S OUT CELEBRATION: Friday, May 25, 6-9PM, Genoveva Chavez Community Center

Choose from Disco Family Skate Night, Glow Swim and Basketball--all FREE and open to all ages from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. Then join us for a special free MOVIE NIGHT featuring the family classic, "Finding Nemo" and enjoy free popcorn, sodas and candy!  The GCCC Snack Bar will also be open with food for purchase. First 100 families through the door receive a FREE roll-up fleece blanket!

SOUTHSIDE SUMMER WHEELS: Sunday, June 24, Meow Wolf

Enjoy a lowrider & custom car show and neighborhood cruise with kids activities, perpetual motion performers, music and food trucks. Watch for more details, including information about neighborhood businesses participating in events and DISCOUNTS!

FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS: Wednesday, July 4, 7:30PM – 9:30PM, Santa Fe Place Mall

The City of Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Downtown Kiwanis Club proudly present a patriotic night of entertainment and FIREWORKS! Celebrate the Fourth with your family and friends.


COMMUNITY IN ACTION: July 20, 5 PM-10 PM, Boys and Girls Club, 6600 Valentine Way

The Center for Contemporary Arts (CCA) and the Santa Fe Boys and Girls Club are collaborating this summer for Community in Action, a CCA outreach program designed to connect Santa Fe communities to contemporary art and cinema through education and community programming. CCA and the Santa Fe Boys and Girls Club will provide educational arts programming and community celebration at the Santa Fe Boys and Girls Club. Join us for an evening of art, music, and an outdoor screening of “Day Without a Mexican.”


BACK TO SCHOOL BASH: August(Date, Time and Location TBD):

Time flies and school is already back in session, so let’s celebrate a great year ahead. More activities will be listed for this summer ending bash soon, so check back because you don’t want to miss it!



FINDING NEMO, part of the SCHOOL’S OUT CELEBRATION (details above): Friday, May 25, 7:30 PM, Genoveva Chavez Community Center. Bring a blanket and enjoy this family classic with free popcorn, sodas and candy!  The GCCC Snack Bar will also be open with food for purchase.


RIDE IN MOVIE NIGHT: Friday, July 6, Time TBD, SWAN Park, Jaguar Drive @ Highway 599. Ride your bike or take the bus for a free outdoor movie. Give your bike a festive look and enter it into our Bicycle Decorating contest. Keep checking here for more information about the movie and special activities!

COMMUNITY CHOICE: Friday, August 3, Time TBD, SWAN Park, Jaguar Drive @ Highway 599. What movie will it be? Come back here for details about how to cast your vote and pick the movie.


GRANDPARENTS NIGHT: TBD. Enjoy an intergenerational evening. Bring your grandparent or just come out to free outdoor movie with a special theme. More details coming soon!

Be sure to bring your SUMMER YOUTH CULTURE PASSPORT to the movies to collect Passport Stamps!
