Late yesterday evening the Santa Fe City Council unanimously approved a proposal to invest $1.1 million dollars – matched by $4 million in private funding – into Santa Fe’s Southside. The partnership, comprised of the State Economic Development Department, the City of Santa Fe, and the homegrown arts startup Meow Wolf, will lead to at least 250 jobs and more than $5 million dollars in new revenue for the city resulting from the economic growth this will generate. ...Read more »

An unknown male caller is impersonating a City of Santa Fe Water Division employee in a phone scam to steal money from local water customers. In one recent case, the caller told a local business owner that their water would be shut off if they did not pay an amount by phone using a pre-paid credit card. This is a scam. On July 4th the City of Santa Fe administrative offices, libraries, waste transfer station, Buckman Diversion offices, Municipal Court, and recreation centers will be closed in observance of Independence Day. The closures include Santa Fe Trails, as buses will not run on the 4th. However, Trash and Recycling will be picked up on the normal schedule, so please have bins out by 8:00am if you are on a Tuesday pick up route.
