Tomorrow the SFPD and other local law enforcement agencies will conduct a DWI Saturation Patrol to honor the memory of Del Lynn and Deshauna Peshlakai, sisters who were tragically killed on March 5, 2010, by a multiple-time DWI offender who rear-ended their family’s car on Cerrillos Road at the intersection of Cristos Road. The family will conduct a ceremony there at 4 o'clock, and the event will be live-streamed on the SFPD Facebook page. From there, the police will embark on the patrol.
This annual memorial event is a poignant reminder that DWI is not a victimless crime--the sisters are rightly referred to as Angels--and that the SFPD has its eyes on the road. Always.
As we start to move around town more and the bars and restaurants reopen, please keep this in mind: Do not drive if you've been drinking.
