Larry Roybal, 74, was found dead inside his home on the 800 block of Don Diego Wednesday, January 15, 2014.
Investigators are calling his death suspicious. The case is currently classified as a suspicious death.
Roybal was found by a family member just after 7:30 p.m. Family was concerned when Roybal failed to report to work Tuesday, and they say they had not heard from him since Monday, January 13th.
Don Diego remains CLOSED in the area between Cordova and West Buena Vista. Specifically from Calle Lucero south to Linda Vista, and there is NO ACCESS to Don Diego from Calle Grill or Adela Street.
The State Office of the Medical Investigator is on scene and SFPD detectives and crime scene analysts will continue to collect evidence.
The detectives worked through the night after family members say the home appeared to be ransacked. At this point we will not say if anything is missing, and we are awaiting autopsy results to release cause of death.
This investigation is still ongoing. The public will be advised when the road reopens, that could be later tonight.
