Campaign signs must be removed by Sunday, November 8, 2020!
The City of Santa Fe requires that political candidates or their campaign workers remove all campaign signs within five (5) days of the date of the election. The last day campaign signs can remain in place is Sunday, November 8, 2020. Candidates whose signs remain in place beyond the deadline face a fifty-dollar ($50.00) a day fine for each sign. Campaign signs placed on private property by the property owner or an affiliate must also be removed by this deadline.
Plastic campaign signs are not recyclable. The metal stakes may be accepted in scrap metal collection programs, but all other materials must be placed in the garbage. For more information about recycling and waste disposal in Santa Fe, please visit santafenm.gov/esd.
