City Offering Summer Recreation Programs for Youth and Teens at Several Elementary
Schools and the GCCC
The City of Santa Fe Recreation Division will again offer affordable and accessible recreational summer programs for youth 6-12 years of age, and teens 13-17. Activities are focused on keeping youth and teens active, engaged, and healthy. The programs include a variety of activities, including court sports and games, outdoor recreation, indoor social games, arts & crafts, swimming, and ice skating.
“The City of Santa Fe Youth Program is exited to welcome the youth and teens of our community to our one-of-a-kind summer program!” says program manager Melissa Bustos. “Join us as we spend the summer having fun, learning new skills, staying active, and making friends in a safe, secure environment.”
Summer Program Schedule: M-F, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. June 6 to July 29, 2022
Youth Program Sites for children 6 to 12: Pinon Elementary, Salazar Elementary, Gonzales Community School, Nina Otero Community School, Ramirez Thomas Elementary.
Teen Site for ages 13-17: Genoveva Chavez Community Center
Cost: The program fee is determined on an income-based sliding scale.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch are included.
Summer Youth Program Registration
Where: Genoveva Chavez Community Center, 3221 Rodeo Road
When: Saturday, April 30, by appointment only; the link to schedule an appointment will go live on April 18 at 8:00 a.m.
