News & Announcements
The Santa Fe Police Department is proud to announce our search for a slogan has concluded, and we received dozens of wonderful submissions.
“Residents submitted an overwhelming number of positive, creative and thoughtful slogans emphasizing their views of the department as accessible, responsive and service-oriented,” Santa Fe Police Chief Raymond Rael said. “We are truly grateful to the community for their participation, and this was a very difficult decision.”
Lisa Bemis and Gina Zaritsky are the winners.
Combined their ideas will be used to create a commercial and then utilized in the department’s future marketing endeavors.
Lisa submitted an idea to make S.F.P.D. an acronym. We loved that idea and pulled from multiple other submissions the words to fit the slogan:
Gina’s submission “Bound to our community by honor and duty”, will also be used as a theme for the campaign.
We received close to 100 submissions via email, mail and social media. Some submission even included creative logos and entire campaigns. As a team, members of the administration, recruiting and other departments met to tackle the daunting task of choosing a winner and tried to focus on reoccurring themes and the uniqueness of our department.
Thank you everyone who participated in our contest. Congratulations to our winners! We will now start producing our commercial which likely start airing sometime in February.
