SFPD asks for help to identify another Obelisk Vandal

The Santa Fe Police Department continues to identify those involved in the damage to the Plaza Obelisk Monday afternoon.  Santa Fe Police is seeking the identity of another male.

This male pictured, broke down the rail barrier set up by city crews. Once the barrier was broken, this male moved the rail barrier to be used as a ladder for additional vandals to access the monument.  Video surveillance obtained by the Santa Fe Police Department shows this suspect spray-painting the monument and later pulling on the straps bringing down the Obelisk.   

If you can identify the male pictured please contact Captain Anthony Tapia by calling 505-955-5286 or by emailing him at [bot protected email address] . You can remain anonymous.  The male is facing several charges in connection to the damage.

Additionally, Santa Fe Crime Stoppers is now offering up to a $1,000 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those involved.

This case remains under active investigation and as additional information becomes available it will be provided.
