Second in Series of Town Halls on Early Childhood Education This Saturday

January 28th, 10:00 AM in the Early Learning Center at Aspen Community Magnet School

Mayor Javier Gonzales and the United Way of Santa Fe County are hosting the second in a series of Town Hall events focused on Early Childhood Education this Saturday, January 28, at 10:00 am in the Early Learning Center at Aspen Community Magnet School.

The Aspen School is located at 450 La Madera St, Santa Fe, NM 87501.

The event will feature a short welcome and introduction from the Mayor and is expected to highlight the benefits and weigh the costs of the Mayor’s proposal to expand Early Childhood Education and high quality Pre-K to 3 and 4 year olds in Santa Fe. The event will also highlight families who will be impacted by the program, but will largely be an opportunity for Santa Feans to come together and have their questions answered about the initiative and how it is likely to impact them and their families.

The public and press are welcome at each of what will be four events.

Mayor Javier M. Gonzales said, “We had a capacity turnout at the most recent town hall, and I want to thank the Boys and Girls Club for hosting. Now we’re heading to Aspen Community School, and I hope there will be continued interest from Santa Feans who want to come out and make their voices heard.”
