News & Announcements
No damage has been reported thus far from last night’s additional rainfall. The rain actually helped move some of the small debris off of roadways around town and into the storm water system. If you have experienced damage but have not yet reported it, please call the EOC Call Center at (505) 955-6949 and give us your information so we can provide assistance.
Debris removal: The City has rented heavy equipment and plans to begin large debris removal Monday. We’re also working to secure a power-broom from the City of Albuquerque on Monday to assist with smaller debris cleanup.
MACC: Multi-Agency Coordination Center is up and running as of 9AM Saturday morning. Agencies represented there include American Red Cross, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, and Salvation Army. Team Rubicon will be out in the community today helping with debris removal and cleanup efforts. The American Red Cross has also deployed a team of 14-volunteers from their Arizona branch to support recovery efforts which should arrive today. Southern Baptist Disaster Relief have 20-volunteers who will arrive in Santa Fe on Monday.
Weather Forecast: The weather today into the weekend – precipitation chances tonight are 30%, and 20% tomorrow and Sunday. As always, these are subject to change, but the outlook at this point is very favorable.
EOC Status: The EOC will be operational 10AM – 3PM today; closed tomorrow; and operational from 8AM - 6PM, starting Monday. Our priorities today will be to continue damage assessments across the city with two teams; prepare damage assessment summary information to provide to the FEMA Preliminary Damage Assessment (PDA) team; and begin to evaluate costs associated with response and recovery.
A VERY special thank you to the folks from constituent services and public utilities who came in to work the the EOC call center on their day off.
