Santa Fe Announces Three Additional Council on Your Corner Meetings
June 27th, Aug 29th, Nov 14th Governing Body Meetings Taking Place at Community Sites
Santa Fe, NM—The effort to continue getting Santa Fe City government out of City Hall—which began with the March 28th City Council meeting at the Southside Library—will continue with three more meetings this year out in the community.
Mayor Alan Webber said, “Council on Your Corner meetings are a proactive effort to engage the community where they live, rather than asking the community to come to us. So far, it’s working: We had nearly 200 people at our meeting at the Southside Library. We hope they will continue to be a user-friendly way to make your voice heard in City government.”
By the end of the year, a Council on Your Corner meeting will have been held in each of the 4 City Council Districts citywide.
The meetings will follow the normal agenda, with an afternoon session at 5:00pm, followed by an evening session at 7:00pm with public hearings and an open segment for petitions from the floor on any topic. Agendas are available the Friday before the meeting, posted to the City’s website at www.santafenm.gov.
The dates and locations are:
June 27th: SFPS Educational Services Center, 610 Alta Vista Street
August 29th: Santa Fe County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall, 3229 Rodeo Road
November 14th: Santa Fe Farmers’ Market Pavilion, 1607 Paseo De Peralta
All council meetings are also available to stream at https://www.youtube.com/user/cityofsantafe. They are also broadcast on SFGOV-TV Comcast Ch. 28 and KSFR 101.1 FM.
