Police Search for Knife-Wielding Shoplifters

Santa Fe Police are requesting assistance in identifying/locating two suspects who pulled a knife and cut into merchandise boxes at Target.

It happened just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30th at the store located on the 3500 block of Zafarano Drive.

Witnesses say the men cut open Xbox packages and stole ten controllers valued at $200. The men then stuffed the items into their pockets and fled the store.

Security did not confront them because at least one of them was armed.

The suspects are both described as Hispanic, 5’8”, with black hair and brown eyes. One wore a red hat, grey shirt and black jacket. The other wore a black shirt and black jacket. Both were last seen in a silver Honda car, possibly a Civic, with an unknown turquoise New Mexico license plate.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Santa Fe Police at (505) 428-3710.
