Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspect

Santa Fe Police are searching for a man who robbed a clerk at the Latinos Unidos Store located at 1242 Siler Road on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 just after 11 a.m.

The incident was caught on surveillance video which shows a Caucasian man about 5’10” to 6’ tall and weighing about 170 pounds with blonde hair, flash the clerk a handgun hidden in his waistband and demand she hand over all the cash in her register.

The employee says the man spoke broken Spanish telling her “tengo un arma” (I have a gun), “dame todo el diero” (give me all your money) and “rapido” (fast).

The suspect was in the store for less than three minutes and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police would like the public to focus on the black bag he is carrying in the surveillance video. If anyone recognizes it or the crook, please call SFPD immediately at 505-428-3710 or Crime Stoppers at 505-955-5050. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward.

Surveillance video can be seen on the department’s FACEBOOK page. Please share it!
