A taste of the snowy North is coming to the Santa Fe Library! Join Karen Land with her sled-dog Noggin as they help spin a tale of endurance and partnership in the world-famous Iditarod race.
The Iditarod commemorates a 1925 emergency mission to send medical supplies to Nome, Alaska via sled dog. Karen will regale us with her adventures as a musher in the Iditarod, a yearly dog sled race that re-traces the nearly thousand-mile course. And come meet Noggin, one of the sled-dogs that made it all happen.
This is a FREE event for people of all ages.
