Midtown Public Engagement Report

Midtown Moving Forward Presents Public Engagement Report on Tuesday, March 22

The City of Santa Fe invites the public to a virtual presentation of the findings and recommendations of the extensive public engagement phase for Midtown Moving Forward. This is an opportunity to preview the Public Engagement Report findings, insights, and recommendations that will help inform the Midtown Community Development Plan. Along with the Land Development Plan (also currently in development), this plan will inform the master plan of the Midtown site.

The report is a key outcome of the City’s commitment to engage community voices not always heard in inclusive and equitable ways, and to gather valuable input on the most consequential development of a generation in the life of Santa Fe.

Sponsored by the City and facilitated by its public engagement consultant team UNM DPAC (Design and Planning Assistance Center) with local community non-profits, public engagement events and activities have been woven into the overall public participation process throughout the summer and fall of 2021.

The Midtown Community Development Plan continues to be informed by the numerous in-person and online community events and bilingual opportunities to engage Santa Fe’s diverse community. Events included listening and planning sessions, site visits, the Block Party and Posolada, online conversations, and interactive planning exercises.

Mayor Alan Webber says: “Community engagement on Midtown has been an unqualified success. Thanks to all of the partners and the UNM team, we’ve been able to hear from more residents from all parts of our community.”

When: March 22, 5:30-7:00 p.m. Mountain Time
