For those not familiar with the game of FootGolf, the golf course does not use regular golf greens and instead, uses a special cut on all fairways and roughs. This allows FootGolf patrons to play with a #5 regulation soccer ball get the soccer ball on shortened holes that have over-sized 21-inch diameter cups. The rules largely correspond to the rules of golf and is played throughout the world in many different forms, but as a sport, it is regulated by the Federation for International FootGolf (FIFG). The game is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee and depends solely on the integrity of the player to abide by the rules. After careful consideration, the staff at MSL golf course have considered adjustments to the nationally ranked par 3 course, better known as “The Great 28” in order for it to align with the pace of play for both regular golf patrons and FootGolf patrons.
MSL is a “family appropriate” facility and due to the nature of this sport, proper attire and a specific dress code is in effect. The sport requires the following attire: collared shirts, “khaki” pants or shorts, indoor soccer/tennis shoes and absolutely NO CLEATED SHOES of any kind will be permitted on the course.
