Public Invited to Participate in Launch of New Fire Trucks
Tomorrow, Friday May 21
The City of Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Fire Department invite members of the public to join in the launching of two new vehicles in a traditional Push Back Ceremony. Anyone with an appreciation of the lore of firefighting and state-of-the-art equipment should be interested in attending the ceremony.
Event: Push Back Ceremony to launch into service a new fire truck, Ladder 4. Ceremonial towels, refreshments, and opportunities to conduct walk-around tours of the vehicle, the cab, and compartments. A new brush truck will also be pushed back; attendees will learn the history of that term at the event.
Where: Fire Station 4, 1130 Arroyo Chamisa Rd.
When: 10 a.m, Friday, May 21, 2021.
Who: Members of the public and the media are invited to join Mayor Webber, Fire Chief Paul Babcock and other Fire Department personnel, and members of the City Council.
