Big League Execs Talk to Santa Fe Businesses How Production Spending Works – Big League Execs Talk to Santa Fe Businesses As part of the Tune Up event being held by the Santa Fe Film Festival, production buyers (who make the decisions on hundreds of purchases) and others will talk to Santa Feans on ways to work effectively with the film industry. Discussions will be held all day on Saturday, December 7, beginning at 9 a.m. – agenda available at http://santafefilmfestival.com/index/2013/12/02/tune-up-schedule/ on topics including:
• How to do More Business with the Film Industry (Meet and Greet Breakfast)
o More than 20 production buyers (location, hair/makeup, set decoration and more) will be on hand to discuss how buying decisions get made. Many of these individuals are the decision makers on $1 million or more of production purchases each year.
• How to Break Into Show Business – for prospective actors and extras
• How to Advance Your Acting Career – for actors with some experience
• New Mexico’s Film Industry Incentives (Working Lunch)

Saturday will ﬁnish with the announcement of the Shoot Santa Fe Pilot Project winner, who will win a prize package worth 25k of industry products and cash to turn their 60-90 second trailer submission into a pilot. Submission cutoff date was December 1, 2013.
December 8 will complete the weekend with a Brunch & Panel to discuss topics for the 2014 Legislative Session. Lawmakers will cover topics including Achievable Goals, Power of Persuasion, and the next the years of legislation for ﬁlm.
