City Offers Two Hours of Free Saturday Parking to Boost Local Business, Make Holiday Shopping Easy

Two hours free at any meter, every Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas

Santa Fe, NM – In a program aimed at boosting local businesses and easing the stress of holiday shopping, the City of Santa Fe’s Parking Division is offering two hours of free parking at any meter on Saturdays during the holiday shopping season, from Thanksgiving to Christmas.

The program is funded in part by generous support from a group of downtown business who organize a fundraising drive.

Mayor Alan Webber said, “This holiday season we want shoppers to buy local, supporting our homegrown Santa Fe businesses as they choose gifts for their loved ones. This initiative is a small gesture that we hope will have a large impact—boosting local business and easing the stress that is so common this time of year.”

To ensure as many Santa Feans as possible get a chance to take advantage of this program, time limits will still be strictly enforced.
