Reflection on a Pandemic

A project that draws on the deep sybolism of the raven:  animals often considered to be amongst the most intelligent and social of creatures, but are often associated with death.  The raven mask is incorporated into a series of photos and a video montage that captures the very qualities of COVID-19 revealed through the eyes of a young girl, Eliana herself, in a collaborative family project.

Felt During COVID

This project invited people of all ages to pick up an art pack to visually share their feelings and stories during this very difficult time of crisis through the creation of felt banners.  The idea of sharing our feelings and being able to speak out and be heard can "embody something valuable for the whole" - a sentiment from our Culture Connects Roadmap - is so important today.

Pronto Leugarroms

This project explores the ways we have adapted by replacing our normal greetings with an elbow bump, which shows how important physical interactions are in our daily human life.  While we have adapted and coped in many ways, it is crucial that we all remember that this wil not last forever and someday, hopefully soon, we will be on the other side of COVID-19.

COVID Hope Clock

This piece serves as that reminder that Safe Practices are not only physical protocols.  There are other characteristics of health as universally recognized as the sweeping hands of a clock.  We are all in this together and we will get through it.  Recognizing and taking action based on our shared positive human traits will help build the healthy generous community that we all want.
