Mission

The Environmental Services Division is dedicated to the protection of our environment, our community and our people. 

Overview

The Environmental Services Division provides residential and commercial trash and recycling collection, reduction, transport and diversion.  More detailed information is located in the Santa Fe City Code chapter XXI - Environmental Services 

 Trash and Recycling will be picked up on Monday January 18, 2016  please place your Trash and Recycling out by 8:00 A.M.   Thank You.

 City of Santa Fe Tree Recycling

The city of Santa Fe will provide free drop-off locations for residents to recycle their real holiday trees starting on December 28, 2015 and continuing until January 25, 2016.  Trees will be ground into mulch that will be available to residents.  Decorations, lights and stands cannot be mulched, so please remove all items first.  No flocked trees are accepted.       

       Treecycycling Drop-off  locations:    Newmans Nursery,  7501 Cerrillos Road, Paynes Nurseries,  304 Camino Alire, 715 St. Michael's Drive, Franklin Miles Park in the parking lot off of Camino Carlos Rey and Siringo Road, and the Buckman Road Recycling and Transfer Station 2600 Buckman Road.

Residential Curbside Recycling

Place these items mixed together in the bin:

Paper (paper, newspaper, paper bags, magazines, books)

Cardboard (break down large boxes)

Boxboard (cereal boxes)

Aluminum and Steel Cans

Cartons (milk, juice, soup boxes)

Plastic containers #1-#7 (bottles, tubs, jugs, trays; no styrofoam or plastic bags)

Place these in a separate bin:

Glass (bottles and jars)

 Need a recycling bin?  Bins are available to Santa Fe residents at the Environmental Services Division,

1142 Siler Road, Building A, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.  For more information call (505) 955-2200.

Residents can pick up recycling bins at 1142 Siler Rd. Monday through Friday or during special tabling events on the plaza or other City locations as designated and advertised by the Division.
