Fall Activities for Everyone to Enjoy at the Santa Fe Public Library

 

Friday Afternoon Art

The Wildlife Center Will Bring Rescued Animals and discuss Wildlife Stewardship

Calligraphy and Handwriting, Workshops

The Santa Fe Public Library has amazing activities planned for residents to enjoy this fall that range from Friday afternoon art, inspiring lectures presented by the Wildlife Center and Calligraphy and Handwriting workshops.

Friday Afternoon Art at the Main Library

Each Friday through December 20, 2013, the Main Library Children’s Department hosts arts and crafts events for children and families from 2:00-4:00 p.m. All adults must be accompanied by a child. The Library is located at 145 Washington Avenue. Please call the Children’s Department at 505-955-6837 for more information.

The Wildlife Center presents: Inspiring Wildlife Stewardship in New Mexico

You are invited to meet some of the amazing wildlife we have in New Mexico. Come learn about the animals of New Mexico and what you can do to help protect them. This event is funded by the Mary Dolores Vocelle Estate and sponsored by the Friends of the Santa Fe Public Library. Below is the schedule and will be presented by The Wildlife Center, which works to conserve and restore native wildlife and their habitats:

 Hands-on Calligraphy and Handwriting Workshops for Adults

This is hands-on, two hour workshop will be filled with tips and techniques for hand addressing holiday envelopes and making simple heartfelt cards. Bring your address book. All supplies are provided. The workshop is presented by Sherry Bishop, a teacher, artist and professional calligrapher. Seating is limited. Registration begins two weeks prior to the class. Call your library to register for this FREE program. Below is the schedule:
