Judge Ann Yalman was appointed to the Santa Fe Municipal Court, effective July 1, 2006. She was elected to the position in March 2008 and was re-elected as Santa Fe Municipal Court Judge at the March 6, 2012, Regular Municipal Election, and was sworn in on March 12, 2012. She has worked to make the Court impartial and efficient and to restore the fundamental values of a fair judicial system.

Judge Yalman is a former Santa Fe County Probate Judge and a former part-time United States Magistrate Judge.

Judge Yalman was a sole practitioner in Santa Fe for 29 years, handling primarily family, employment and other civil cases.

Before moving to Santa Fe, she worked for the EEOC in Atlanta, Georgia, and for the Florida Rural Legal Services in Immokalee, Florida.

Judge Yalman earned her Bachelor's degree in sociology from Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio, and her law degree from New York University.
