Nestled within thousands of acres of pinon and juniper woodlands, the City of Santa Fe's Dale Ball Trails and the La Tierra Trails provide a network of over 50-miles of hiking and mountain biking trails; these also include some shared multi-use trails for equestrians. The city's wilderness trails connect to other well-known trails in Santa Fe County, the Santa Fe National Forest and the Nature Conservancy.

Prescription Trails
Prescription Trails are walking and wheelchair rolling routes that are both safe and accessible
to patients and families to promote healthy lifestyles. Local health care professionals assess their patients for readiness to start or maintain a walking program and then write tailored prescriptions based on their current physical condition.
