Councilor Chris Calvert represents Santa Fe City Council, District 1.
He was was elected to the Governing Body in March 2006 and is serving his first four-year term.
Councilor Calvert is a member of the following committees:
- Public Works / CIP & Land Use Committee - Member
- Buckman Direct Diversion Board - Member
- Regional Planning Authority - Member
- Transit Advisory Board - Member
- Water Conservation Committee - Member
He is also Chairman of the Water Conservation Committee. In addition, he serves on two joint city-county bodies:
- Buckman Direct Diversion Board
- Solid Waste Management Authority Board
Education
Councilor Calvert has earned the following degrees:
- Master’s in Public Policy - University of California, Berkeley
- B.S. in Conservation of Natural Resources - University of California, Berkeley
- B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering - U.S. Air Force Academy
