Santa Fe residents are represented by eight elected City Councilors, two from each of the city's four council districts. Elections are held every two years for four seats in each district. Councilors are elected to four-year terms with no term limits.

City Council meetings are held on the 2nd and last Wednesday of every month at the City Council Chambers, 200 Lincoln Avenue, Santa Fe, NM.
