Certificate of Occupancy
Overview
Businesses are required to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy (CO) before acquiring a
Business Registration. The Inspectors conduct the CO to assure compliance with the Fire Code. If deficiencies are found, the applicant corrects them before scheduling a re-inspection.
The Fire Department charges an inspection fee prior to conducting any CO Inspections. Fire Inspection fees are paid during the CO Application Process.
