Events/Programs

Adopt-a-Median Program
Keep Santa Fe Beautiful appreciates the partnerships with business owners, individuals and the City of Santa Fe.  Through these partnerships many medians in the City have been landscaped and are maintained.

Otra Vez: Trash to Treasures
Keep Santa Fe Beautiful manages a column, which is published in the Santa Fe New Mexican, advertising items that people are giving away or would like to obtain.  All items are free.  The See the list at our Keep Santa Beautiful website.

April:

Electronic Waste Drop Off Day: On this day Santa Fe residents can drop off computers, CRT monitors (old style computer monitors fee on these monitors), computer monitors, computer peripherals, electronic equipment, cell phones and televisions (fee on the TV's).

Great American Cleanup Day: On this day volunteers young and old can help clean up our City streets, parks, arroyos, and school grounds.  Afterwards KSFB along with many businesses in town host a picnic to thank our may hard-working volunteers.

Earth Day Event: TBD
The membership drive helps support Keep Santa Fe Beautiful's goal and mission of beautification, litter control and environmental awareness.  Members receive the Keep Santa Fe Beautiful newsletter, litter bags for their vehicles and bumper stickers.

June:

Keep Santa Fe Beautiful Awards Night: Volunteers and businesses who have participated and supported in Keep Santa Fe Beautiful's projects and events are recognized for their efforts at this special evening event.

September:

Zozobra Litter Free Event: KSFB helps make the night of zozobra more enjoyable, by keeping it a litter free event.  Attendees are provided trash bags and asked to place their trash into the bags an not on the ground.  Clean up by City crews and volunteers is made easier with everyone's cooperation.

Toss No Mas Fall Cleanup Day: On this day volunteers young and old can help clean up or City Streets, parks, arroyos, and school grounds.  Afterwards KSFB along with many businesses in town host a picnic to thank our may hard-working volunteers.

October:

KSFB Silent Auction and Wine Tasting Fundraising Event: Funds raised at this fundraiser are used for events and programs that educate school children and residents on the importance of litter prevention, beautification and the benefits of recycling.

November:

Recycle Santa Fe Art Festival: The festival includes a recycled art market, exhibits, a fashion contest, music, food and children's activities all weekend long.  The festival educateds the public about waste reduction in a fun and creative venue.  The event is in affort to stimulate local econoimic development and reduce the amount of waste disposal in the landfill.  All activities during this three-day event are open to the public at Santa Fe Community Convention Center downtown.
