The components to the Fire Code Enforcement program are based on the Fire Code, which the City of Santa Fe formally adopted and included in Chapter 12 of the Santa Fe City Code.

The City of Santa Fe Fire Department has adopted the 2009 edition of the International Fire Code® (IFC). The International Code Council (ICC) developed and published the IFC. Any violation notice, inspection requirement, or Development and Building Permit requirement we make is based on the Fire Code.
