The Animal Services Division assists with domestic animal control and enforces State law and City ordinances regarding animals.
Primary duties of the Animal Services Officers include, but are not limited to: 1) Pick-up, transportation, and impoundment of stray dogs and cats; 2) Investigate animal cruelty, neglect cases and animal bites, 3) Respond to reports of injured animals, barking complaints, and animal welfare checks.
Animal Services Officers work extended hours seven days a week, including holidays, and are subject to call-outs after hours.
