The city's Special Route serves residents who are infirm or disabled and who require assistance getting their refuse and recycling picked up. In order to qualify for the Special Route, residents must submit an application to the Environmental Services Division. The application requires a Medical Certificate that must be filled out by the resident's doctor explaining the infirmity or disability, as well as the resident's name and phone number so area of pickup may be arranged with the customer. A Release of Liability must also be filled out by the resident giving us authorization to step onto the property. If you are interested in signing up for this route please call 505-955-2200.

Special Route residents are the only city residents who qualify to receive 1 box of free trash bags. Contact the Environmental Services Division to arrange to pick up or have the bags delivered. The bags for 2012 will be available beginning July 09, 2012.
