The City of Santa Fe's Storm Water Management  in compliance with the EPA's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program under the Clean Water Act amendments of 1972 is working to reduce pollutants from diffuse (non-point) sources, such as stormwater runoff from urban area, agricultural areas and construction sites. Santa Fe is a Phase II "Small MS4" (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System) serving a population of less than 100,000.

We respond to and work with complaints, complainants and reports of illegal dumping into the stormwater system which includes:

  • Arroyos
  • Streets
  • Storm Drain Inlets
  • Santa Fe River
