Floodplain

The City of Santa Fe was issued Preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps in February 2011. Not all floodplains were re-studied and only part of the City will be impacted by the revised floodplain maps. Community meetings were held in late April to explain the preliminary maps and the schedule for adoption. The 90-day appeal period will begin August 11, 2011. After the appeal period ends and modifications are incorporated, revised floodplain maps would get adopted by City Council. We anticipate that will occur in the summer of 2012.
