Buckman Road Recycling & Transfer (BuRRT) Station Information
Drop Off Trash and Recycling
Refuse and recycling may be taken to BuRRT from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. every day. The link to BuRRT website is here.

BuRRT address is 2600 Buckman Road. 

Payment: BuRRT accepts cash or check only. No Credit Cards. No $100 bills accepted. Cash deposits are required unless paying with checks. Deposits are determined by gross vehicle weight.

Transfer Station fees are as follows:
Any small vehicle plus load weighing less than 4,000 pounds is $5.00 per load;
Any regular vehicle plus load weighing 4,000 to 6,000 pounds is $10.00 per load;
Any large vehicle plus load weighing greater than 6,000 pounds is $45.00 per ton;
Any vehicle with a trailer is $45.00 per ton.
Unsecured load surcharge is $15.00 per load.

Clean green waste is $20.00 per ton;
Residential comingled recycling is free under 10,000 pounds;
Electronic waste is $45 per ton; (this comes out to about $0.02 cents per pound);
Any appliance containing freon is $10 per unit;
Any non-freon appliances are $5.00 per unit;
Scrap metal is $15 per ton;
Scrap tires are $160 per ton or $2 per passenger tire or $6 per commercial tire

Household trash:
Commercial trash must go to Caja del Rio Landfill
Paper: newspaper, junk mail, magazines, shredded paper (in a plastic bag)
Cardboard: corrugated cardboard (wavy line in middle) only!
Aluminum Cans: includes empty aerosol cans
Tin and Steel Cans
Plastic Bottles #1 and #2: must have a neck
Glass: All colors of bottles and jars
Phone Books
Green Waste
Scrap Metal
Books (hardback and softback)
Tires
Fluorescent Bulbs
Electronic Waste:
Computers and all related equipment--monitors, printers, fax machines, copiers, scanners, plotters, peripherals, telecommunication equipment, servers, phone systems, security equipment, UPS systems, cell phones, VCRs, and audio equipment.

Not Accepted at BuRRT

Motor oil, antifreeze, paints, pesticides, or any other household hazardous waste.
