The Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Program provides 24-hour crash-rescue service at the Santa Fe Municipal Airport. The Fire Department developed ARFF to fulfill requirements resulting from the Airport's recent change in classification. 

At the onset of the program, we purchased a new Rosenbauer ARFF vehicle with the assistance of Federal grant funds and began training interested firefighters for Federal Aviation Administration ARFF Certification. We currently staff the Airport station with two ARFF-trained firefighters that are ready to respond to all aircraft emergencies.
