Fire Supression
Overview
Fire Supression
The Fire Department currently staffs six stations, 24 hours a day. Of these six stations, three are equipped with engines capable of fighting fires with Class A Foam. Two stations have Quints, a combination Pumper with a 75-foot ladder for aerial operations. The remaining station houses the ARFF unit.

Procedures
Fire Supression
Currently, the department sends two engines and a Quint to all first-alarm structure fires. The first arriving unit performs a quick assessment of the incident and determines how to attack the fire.

Over 90 percent of fires within the City are controlled using an offensive attack. For offensive attacks, the firefighters enter the burning structure and extinguish the fire using a mixture of water and Class A Foam.
